As a Property Manager and Business Development Manager in Western Australia (WA), you'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of residential or commercial rental properties. This includes ensuring legal compliance, providing outstanding client service, and managing all financial aspects, including trust accounts. You'll need strong communication and organizational skills, along with a solid understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act (WA). A key part of your role will be to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the company's expansion within the WA property market. This involves proactive prospecting, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of residential and/or commercial rental properties
- Source and secure new clients, listings, and project opportunities
- Conduct property inspections, lease renewals, and rent reviews
- Liaise with tenants, landlords, and contractors to resolve issues efficiently
- Handle tenant onboarding, tenancy agreements, bond lodgements, and vacate procedures
- Maintain compliance with WA tenancy laws and regulations
- Perform trust account receipting, reconciliation, and disbursements in line with the Real Estate and Business Agents Act 1978 (WA)
- Prepare and manage budgets, maintenance requests, and routine reports for property owners
- Use property management software (e.g., PropertyMe, Property Tree, REST, Console Cloud)
- Represent the agency professionally and uphold ethical standards
- Build long-term relationships with landlords, developers, investors, and buyers
- Prepare and present tailored property proposals to clients
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and property management teams
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
- Attend networking events and industry functions to enhance brand visibility
- Support senior management with business reporting and strategic initiatives
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Applecross WA 6153: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Property management: 1 year (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Property Management License (Required)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (Required)
