Wirayangapa is seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and reliable Community Support Workers to join our team, delivering culturally respectful and person-centred services to people in our community.

We provide services to Aged Care clients, people living with Disability, and private clients, supporting independence, dignity, and connection to community.

Role Responsibilities

As a Community Support Worker, you may be involved in:

  • Transport to appointments, social outings, and community events

  • Support with daily living tasks and personal routines

  • Household assistance (cleaning, laundry, meal preparation)

  • Shopping and errands

  • Lawn care and light gardening

  • Companionship and social support

  • Accompanying clients to appointments and recreational activities

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

  • Understanding of cultural safety and community engagement

  • Experience in aged care, disability support, or related fields

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • Current NSW Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $27.00 – $42.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Working with Aboriginal community members: 1 year (Preferred)
