Your day as an Assistant Buyer:
  • Providing support and assistance to the Buyer.
  • Analysis of business opportunities and identify potential clients.
  • Managing supplier liaison.
  • Running general ad-hoc reports as required with accuracy.
  • Managing fit sessions.
  • Comp shop analysis.
  • Involvement in story board management.
  • Completing advertising briefs.
  • Preparing financial figures.
Some things we are looking for in an Assistant Buyer:
  • Proven experience working in a similar role within the retail industry.
  • Previous experience with apparel.
  • Strong Administration experience.
  • Product Development experience will be highly regarded.
  • A passion for the product that is balanced with commercial acumen.
  • Able to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Show initiative to contribute to a team in order to grow your portfolio.
  • Flexible in your approach.
  • Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Be achievement orientated and results driven.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Have a down to earth attitude and able to put yourself in the customers shoes.
  • Be resourceful and adaptable.
