We are looking for a Parts Interpreter/Admin

Company Background:

SCRGoperates 11 locations across the East coast of Australia and continues to look for growth opportunities.

SCRG's customers include insurers, motor vehicle fleet operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), commercial, government customers and motor vehicle owners.

Location: Campsie

Main Purpose of the Role:

This is a dual role combining parts interpreting and general administrative support, including reception duties. You'll be responsible for ordering and managing vehicle parts through IBodyshop, maintaining accurate records, liaising with suppliers, and supporting the production team. Additionally, you'll assist with front desk reception duties, ensuring professional communication and smooth day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Parts Interpreter

  • Order all parts required for each job in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Receive deliveries, checking quality, accuracy, and quantity of all parts.
  • Label all parts clearly with job numbers and estimated completion dates.
  • Match and file all invoices with appropriate job details (e.g. job number, registration).
  • Return incorrect or excess parts for credit and follow up with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing documentation.
  • Cross-check parts against vehicles (when on-site) and notify Production Manager of any discrepancies.
  • Update Production and Site Managers on the status of urgent parts.
  • Attend daily/weekly production and vehicle release meetings.
  • Distribute parts to production staff as directed.
  • Keep the parts area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Escalate ongoing supplier issues to the Site Manager.

Administration

  • Greet and assist visitors and customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails promptly.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and document management.
  • Support the Site Manager with scheduling, booking, and internal communications when required.
  • Help coordinate deliveries, courier pickups, and mail handling.
