We offer services both locally and interstate, with maintenance services carried out onsite or at our commercial maintenance facility in Dandenong South.

The position of a Human Resource Adviser at RGS plays a pivotal role in supporting the company's workforce planning, employee relations, and HR compliance functions. The position is responsible for providing advice to management and staff on HR policies and procedures, coordinating recruitment and administrative activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to foster a positive and safe workplace culture while supporting the company's operational and strategic objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees at Reddys General Services to managers, supervisors, and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment matters in accordance with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and workplace agreements

  2. Coordinate recruitment and selection processes at Reddys General Services for trade and non-trade positions including drafting job descriptions, posting advertisements, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and preparing employment contracts

  3. Assist in workforce planning across Reddys General Services projects by analysing labour requirements across projects and engineering plants and recommending staffing strategies to support operational demands

  4. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures specific to Reddys General Services and procedures relevant to the construction and maintenance industry, ensuring compliance with statutory and safety requirements.

  5. Oversee induction and onboarding programs for new employees at Reddys General Services to ensure new employees understand company policies, safety procedures, and role expectations.

  6. Support performance management processes at Reddys General Services, including implementing appraisal systems, managing disciplinary procedures, and assisting managers with employee performance reviews.

  7. Advise Reddys General Services management on industrial relations matters, including interpretation of the Building and Construction General On-site Award and other relevant industrial instruments.

  8. Promote a positive and compliant workplace culture within Reddys General Services, assisting in the resolution of grievances and facilitating communication between management and employees.

  9. Coordinate training and development initiatives for Reddys General Services employees, including trade skill upgrades, safety training, and leadership development programs.

  10. Assist Reddys General Services with remuneration and benefits administration, ensuring salary structures are competitive and compliant with award provisions.

  11. Prepare HR reports and maintain employee records for Reddys General Services including attendance, turnover, and training logs to support management decision-making.

  12. Contribute to employee engagement strategies at Reddys General Services including recognition programs, team-building activities, and workplace surveys.

Qualifications and experience

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or Commerce (or equivalent qualification).

· At least two years' experience in a human resources or employee relations role, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or maintenance industries.

· Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards, and Modern Awards applicable to the construction industry.

· Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
