We have exciting opportunities for experienced Department Managers to join our Good Grocer store leadership teams.

As a Department Manager you will be responsible for the successful operation of a department within the store, leading your team to deliver an exceptional fresh food offering to our customers.

We are looking for not just a retailer but a passionate foodie who can lead their team, who embraces change and can create a market leading offer for the local community.

These are permanent full-time salaried positions with incentive scheme.

Skills required

  • Previous Retail Department Manager experience
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Exceptional customer service experience and merchandising ability
  • Ability to manage and lead the team, ensuring compliance to food safety standards
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • IT knowledge/Microsoft/Smart Retail/ABCIS

Key Responsibilities

  • To have full responsibility for the successful operation of a department within the store
  • To lead and develop your team
  • To work closely with the local community to meet and exceed their food expectation's with an 'of course' attitude
  • To ensure customers receive an exceptional shopping experience
  • Ensure adherence to all safety standards and requirements across the store
