About The Role:

• Delivering, monitoring and enhancing patient services within St Vincent's Private Hospitals by supervising and managing the bookings, back office and admission function for the Hospital, and thereby enabling provision of high standard of patient care within the Philosophy, Mission and Values of the Sisters of Charity.
• The Supervisor coordinates and supervises the day-to-day Administration processes and performs hands on administrative and clerical duties to ensure all services are delivered within the scope of practice by adhering to policies and procedures of SVPHS and St Vincent's Health Australia.
• The role requires a thorough understanding of the hospital administration from bookings, admissions and discharge processes.
• Has Health Funds policies and Informed Financial Consent knowledge.
• Can manage oneself and the staff, to create a transformational leadership environment. This position is responsible for reviewing processes and implementing quality improvements in consultation with the NSW Private Hospitals Administration State Manager.

About You:

• High School Certificate or higher qualifications - Essential 
• Certificate in Business Administration - Desirable  
• Medical Terminology training or certification - Desirable
• Experience in Health Administration.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a customer focused team.
• Sound knowledge of Admission and Discharge processes within a hospital environment.
• Knowledge of Health Funds in a private hospital setting.
• Sound leadership, people management and problem-solving skills.

About The Mater:

In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.

• One of Sydney's premier private hospitals.
• Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
• The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
• Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
