Implement and support Charles Darwin University's self-assurance model to maintain compliance and inform quality enhancements.
About the Position
As the Quality Specialist - Self-Assurance and Academic Policy, you will provide leadership for various stakeholders to ensure that the University follows a cyclical self-assurance model to maintain compliance in VET and HE and to inform quality enhancements to maintain registration as a provider of vocational, higher and international education.
This role also provides high-level administrative support to the Self Assurance Steering Group and collaborative leadership for the development of policy to ensure the quality and integrity of academic services, provision, policy and procedure.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Completion of or progress towards a postgraduate qualification and extensive experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Demonstrated ability for collaborative leadership to lead institutional quality assurance programs.
- Demonstrated ability for collaborative leadership to develop academic policy and manage academic risk.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with senior staff and internal and external stakeholders and constructively manage issues to ensure positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated understanding of the higher and vocational education sectors, legislative requirements, and quality assurance processes and practices.
- Demonstrated high-level administrative and organisational capability, including the ability to analyse and improve business and/or system processes and prepare a variety of documentation, e.g., reports, instructional guides, and agendas.
- Demonstrated high level computer literacy, including the ability to support colleagues in their use of web applications, database management, and knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, judgment and discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 9.1 Salary. The base salary will be in $122,002 per annum. The total remuneration package will be $142,742 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
