We're a busy pub with a small but dynamic kitchen. Our menu features high quality pub classics, creative tapas, and seasonal dishes, all designed for our guests to enjoy. The Role:

We are looking for a Kitchen Hand to join our team, reporting directly to the Head Chef. You'll work in a small kitchen environment, assisting the kitchen team with dish washing and basic food prep. This role also involves collaborating closely with front-of-house team members with general housekeeping duties based on the business's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting chefs with food preparation and plating
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness across kitchen and storage areas
• Assisting with deliveries, unpacking, and stock rotation
• Following workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment

• Teamwork Skills – Ability to work effectively as part of a busy kitchen team.
• Adaptability & Resilience – Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Communication Skills – Clear, respectful communication with chefs, supervisors, and peers.
• Food Safety & Hygiene Awareness – Understanding of (or willingness to learn) safe food handling practices.
• Initiative & Willingness to Learn – Ability to take direction and develop skills on the job.
• Experience (Desirable but not essential) – Previous work in hospitality or kitchens will be highly regarded.

Pay & Conditions

This role is covered under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (MA As of 1 July 2025:

• Part-time (Level 1 Kitchen Attendant): approx. $24.95 per hour
• Casual rate (including 25% casual loading): approx. $31.19 per hour
• Penalty rates and allowances apply for evenings, weekends, public holidays, overtime as per the Award.

(These are Fair Work minimum rates – higher pay may be offered depending on experience and venue policy.)

Location: Leederville

Employment Type: Casual / Part-time .Thursday to Sunday 16-20 Hours to start with potential for growth based on your availability, skills and the business's needs.
