The Role
As Community Care Worker you will be responsible for providing outreach support services, including advocacy, provision of information, and skills development to individuals seeking recovery from drug and alcohol dependencies, as well as the families and carers supporting their recovery journey.
This position requires staff to work in compliance with the Human Services Quality Framework and the National Quality Framework for Alcohol and other Drugs. Staff are also required to adhere to the Society's Community Services Policy Framework and comply with all SVdP policies and procedures.
This is a Permanent, Full-time position (38 hours per week) role based inMackay.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Alcohol & other Drugs, Casework, Mental Health, or similar
- Experience in Intake and Assessment Processes
- Experience in caseplan development and implementation
- Ability to contribute to the development and delivery of individual and group programs to support individuals recovering from drug and alcohol dependencies, as well as their families.
- COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement.
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
