Description:

Asado is a gem of Melbourne's restaurant scene, and undoubtedly one of Australia's finest Argentinian restaurants. Sitting adjacent to the Eureka Tower, our prime location means that the CBD & Southbank is on your doorstep when it's time to treat yourself in town

In the Casual Kitchen Hand role, your day-to-day will involve:

Supporting chefs with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.

Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen, including dishwashing and equipment cleaning.

Assisting with stock handling, deliveries, and restocking fridges or shelves.

Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment as part of a supportive team.

Taking direction from senior chefs and contributing to smooth service flow.

Skills and Experiences:

Think you've got what it takes?

The ideal candidate will have:

Availability for 20–24 hours per week on a consistent basis, including weekends where needed.

Full working rights in Australia - Citizen / PR status; or at least 2+ years remaining on a temporary visa.

Some Kitchen Hand experience in a professional kitchen (preferred but not essential).

A strong understanding of basic food handling, hygiene, and safe kitchen practices, or a willingness to learn quickly.

Ability to complete tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, cleaning, and restocking efficiently and to a high standard.

Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work well in a team.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail to ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe, and well-organised.
