AAFCANS purpose is to serve the Australian Defence Community across 27 bases nationally. Our venues are designed to provide convenient café style coffee, meals and convenience products on Army and Air Force bases.

About the role:

  • Salary Role
  • Role is located at ADFA Defence Base
  • Large production cooking of cafe food items
  • Working in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Working with a small team
  • Given all the tools needed to be successful.

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • Previous commercial cooking experience
  • Excellent organisation, cleanliness and efficiency skills
  • Able to follow structured recipes and presentation standards
  • Great working knowledge of food handling & hygiene standards including stock control
  • Confidence in a fast paced environment
  • Must be reliable and work well in a team environment
  • Comfortable working in a team and on your own
  • You are self-motivated and can multi-task during quieter periods on your own
  • Excellent communication skills

Given you will be accessing a Defence base, you will be required to complete a National Police Check.
