We are a successful funky and modern Café. We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team. This is going to be a full-time position (38 hours p/w).

The role involves preparing and cooking menu items to our high standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen, and collaborating with other staff members to deliver exceptional service. Some of the responsibilities listed below:

  • Prepare all ingredients ready by washing and cutting, and cooking all levels of dishes.
  • Season and cook food according to our recipes and/or personal judgement and experience.
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity. Operate the cooking appliance such as stoves and ovens and maintain the good working conditions at all time.
  • Control stocks by estimating food consumption then purchase supplies and procure food from storage.
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils.
  • Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff.

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • Have a passion for food.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a cafe.
  • Qualified cook is favarouble
  • Have knowledge of food safety and hygiene producers.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced café/restaurant with a very high volume of covers.
  • Ability to work as a team & responsible to work on your own
