The position is expected to commence later this year or early next year, with flexibility for the right candidate.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic and ensure the smooth running of all administrative functions. Working closely with the Director, you will:

  • Lead and support administrative staff
  • Oversee reception and client services, including being confident with front desk tasks
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and invoicing via Xero
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, privacy legislation, and relevant health standards
  • Oversee rosters, scheduling, and leave management
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
  • Manage clinic facilities, IT systems, and contractors
  • Assist with marketing, website updates, and GP/community engagement

This role requires a proactive professional who can confidently balance leadership, problem-solving, and hands-on administrative work.


About You

You'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in practice or operations management (psychology or allied health preferred)
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and delegation skills
  • Excellent communication—clear, professional, and compassionate
  • Proficiency with Xero, Microsoft 365, and practice management platforms (e.g., Power Diary, Halaxy, Cliniko, or similar)
  • A sound understanding of legal and compliance obligations
  • A solutions-focused mindset and genuine passion for supporting both clients and staff
  • A willingness to increase hours to full time as the business grows will be highly regarded.
