Job Overview

We're looking for a certified Electrician to join our growing solar installation team. You will be responsible for wiring, connecting, and commissioning solar PV systems, batteries, and EV chargers in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a licensed electrician, we prefer solar experience but happy to help the right candidate obtain the required licenses. We need someone with the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality workmanship in compliance with Australian standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install and connect solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV chargers.
  • Complete electrical wiring, switchboard upgrades, and system commissioning.
  • Conduct testing and verification to meet AS/NZS 3000 and Clean Energy Council (CEC) standards.
  • Interpret and follow electrical plans and schematics.
  • Work collaboratively with roofers and installation teams for seamless project delivery.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and system issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
  • Liaise with clients to explain system operation and answer technical queries.

Job Qualifications

  • Comfortable and competent working at heights.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills. Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Current valid driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Must be authorized to work in Australia.

License/Certifications

  • Current NSW, SA, QLD Electrical Licence (must be fully qualified in area you are applying).
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Driver License

Nice to Have (but not essential):

  • Solar & Battery Installation & Commissioning
  • SAA Accreditation (Solar essential)
  • BESS Accreditation – or willingness to obtain
