This is a rare opportunity to take the lead in shaping a new service offering for a respected family-owned organisation supporting Australia's energy sector. This is a key leadership role with influence across the business — balancing strategy and execution to ensure our operations are cost-effective, efficient, and scalable.

Here's an overview of what you'll be doing

  • Lead the end-to-end purchasing process for GP
  • Oversee vendor management, contract reviews, and procurement compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement workflows and supplier performance
  • Manage budgets, approvals, reporting, and price accuracy in collaboration with Finance
  • Provide support to the Accounts Payable function (purchase orders, bill coding, etc.)
  • Foster a high-performance culture within a small but agile team

About You

  • 3+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles
  • Proven ability to negotiate, manage suppliers, and improve procurement systems
  • Strong skills in excel and procurement platforms
  • Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • A confident leader and team player with outstanding stakeholder engagement skills
  • Able to juggle competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
