We are a boutique Brisbane based Property Development firm that have a strong pipeline of townhouses and apartment projects. Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Administrator / Development Manager to join our team.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to report and work in with the Senior Development Manager, to take developments from Concept through to Completion.

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator / Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction / development role. Project management expertise and a passion for seeing projects from initial concept through to end sale / handover are preferred.

We understand you may not currently have all the skills outlined below, however our nimble and open/collaborative team all work through problems together to learn and deliver great outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:Facilitate coordination between internal stakeholders and external consultants, including Development Application lodgements, OPW & Building Approvals, and final council Plan Sealing applications.
  • Documentation Review:Lead documentation review and sign-off processes, including shop drawings, FF&E schedules, and construction documentation.
  • Marketing Collateral: Assist in the creation and management of marketing CGI's and collateral.
  • Project Coordination:Assist in coordinating projects, including attending design meetings with external consultants.
  • Defect Walk-Throughs: Participate in defect walk-throughs for project completion and display suites to ensure design intent consistency and finalisation.
  • Purchaser Amendments Workflow: Manage workflow associated with any purchaser amendments, including sourcing of alternate finishes and providing options of different spatial arrangements within the project.
  • Design Concept Review:Assist in reviewing design concepts and finishes, ensuring they align with intended commercial pricing to meet project requirements.
  • Design Consistency: Ensure design consistency across all projects.
  • Project Initiation: Identify and define product offerings at the start of each project, conducting research into competitors and market trends to inform decisions
  • Sample Sign off: Lead the charge in ensuring samples are signed off, ensuring alignment with the design vision and commercial pricing while confirming they meet the project budget.
  • Construction Management:  Work with our integrated building team throughout the delivery of the project to ensure delivered in a timely manner and on budget.

About you

  • Studies in a Trade, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or relevant field
  • Strong computer skills including Adobe Suite & Microsoft Office.
  • An understanding/end-to-end involvement in the associated D&C, ECI and Project Delivery processes, ideally on commercial mixed-use, multi-residential projects.
  • A strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost efficiencies through design, as well as design/constructability solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in design / construction role
  • Experience working in a dynamic fast paced and growing environment
  • Experience in Residential and/or Commercial property sectors
  • Ability to work un-supervised and sort problems out.
