About the opportunity

The Manager, Corporate Governance and Risk, is a key role within the Strategy, Risk and Innovation team at Health Infrastructure and integral in contributing to and facilitating risk and governance discussions across the Executive Leadership Team, Audit and Risk Committee and the broader business.

Health Infrastructure recognises the strategic value and importance of corporate governance and risk management and is on a journey of continuous improvement to truly embed risk practices within every level of its operations.

The Manager, Corporate Governance and Risk role is responsible for implementing and managing an effective risk and governance framework, focusing on maximising adoption by all staff to drive continuous improvement across the broad activities of Health Infrastructure, consistent with NSW Health and broader Government expectations and Policy. The role will lead the development/continuous improvement and periodic review of the enterprise risk management framework, as well as associated risk management processes and policies. The Manager Corporate Governance and Risk will regularly facilitate and document the Executive Leadership Team's review of strategic and operational risks and mitigation strategies that reflect the organisation's risk appetite statement and tolerances including cyber risk. They are also responsible to ensure that any risks identified through governance committees are escalated to the risk register.

Critically, the Manager will foster a business culture of integrity, conformance, transparency, accountability and best practice and develop and present training to the business to uplift risk and governance capability.

This is a full-time ongoing role. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed. This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you

You are a risk and governance professional with an expert understanding of the application of these practices across a government agency and keen to champion them. You are excited by the opportunity to uplift capability and continuously improve risk and governance processes in a complex and highly motivated agency.

You are pragmatic, a collaborative team player that has excellent communication and influencing skills. You are comfortable working with ambiguity and have a solid understanding of the importance of governance in a range of strategic and operational functions including cyber security.

Ideally you will understand the NSW Health ecosystem, and the role HI plays in that space and in particular the nuances of an outsourced project delivery model and the particular risk approaches that presents.
