About the Role
  • The Director of Adult Mental Health is a lead role in the clinical governance of the Adult Mental Health Service.
  • Expert Clinical leadership and service development.
  • Leadership for the Clinical Directors across the program to deliver excellence in clinical mental health care and treatment.
  • Co-leadership for the clinical program in achieving the key performance indicators for adult mental health & wellbeing services as set by the Department of Health.
  • Co-leadership for the program with the Operations Managers with regard to carrying out responsibilities for the development and implementation of the Mental Health Royal Commission Transformation plan priorities.
  • Oversight for Mental Health & Wellbeing Act Governance in the adult mental health services.
  • This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, with demonstrated passionate leadership of excellent mental health care provision, to lead a clinical service in inner city Melbourne.
Your Contribution
  • Significant experience in clinical care and leadership in Mental Health.
  • Be recognised as a strategic, excellent, contemporary and innovative clinical leader.
  • Experience in leading successful change and developing models of service delivery across the continuum of care.
  • A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
  • Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
