Job Description
- Serves as technical expert in their domain, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally
- Provides guiding direction and ultimate oversight of engineering engagements.
- Sets direction and goals for technology and/or business line.
- External spokesperson on technical engineering issues.
- Leads the technology strategy for individual's area of expertise.
- Technical point of contact for strategic clients and member of AECOM senior leadership team.
- As necessary, modifies established guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations.
- May provide technical guidance to a modest sized group of engineers, designers, and specialists.
- Fully versed in the project change control process and can identify a potential change.
- Fully versed with and can check and review the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within a specific discipline.
- Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained worker.
