The Role
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for community wellbeing? We're on the lookout for a proactive, people and community-focused Manager to lead our Leisure and Recreation teams.
In this role, you'll steer the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of our recreation and leisure facilities - ensuring they're not just functional, but fun, inclusive, and inspiring for everyone in our community.
And the timing? Couldn't be better. We're embracing new technologies, launching major capital works, and rolling out exciting projects that are transforming Port Hedland into a place people are proud to call home.
Responsibilities of the Manager Recreation & Leisure Facilities include the following:
- Providing leadership and fostering a culture of teamwork across the portfolio and organisation.
- Planning and optimising the use of recreation and leisure facilities.
- Building strong relationships with community groups, sporting clubs, and government agencies.
- Managing budgets, reporting, and contracts to meet service and financial targets.
- Overseeing events, programs, and activities that reflect community needs and expectations.
- Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and internal safety procedures.

Work Related Requirements
- A Degree qualification in Business, Leisure or Facility Management
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class driver's license
- The rights to work in Australia
