About Us: With over 30 years of experience,TURSAis a respected not-for-profit provider of Employment and Training Services. We operate under contracts from the Australian Government, delivering essential services such as Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services (soon to be Inclusive Employment Australia), and Transition to Work, as well as being a Registered Training Provider (RTO). As an Employment and Training Organisation, we are committed to empowering participants and enabling long-term sustainable employment outcomes.
Our Reach:Our geographical footprint spans from Foster in NSW to Noosaville in QLD. We serve diverse communities and work tirelessly to provide excellent customer service and personalised advice to participants.
The Role:The Disability Employment Advocate (DEA) will be based in Caloundra and may be involved in one or more of the following functions:
Case Management:Engage with participants to identify the skills and potential barriers to employment of each participant and work with them to achieve long term employment outcomes. Provide ongoing support in work to ensure participants are supported in the workplace.
Employer Engagement: Create employment opportunities with local employers to match the skills and experience of our participants. Build sustainable and long-term relationships with employers and provide support to local employers to create inclusive workplace.
Participant & Employer Training: Conduct training to both participants and employers. This may include pre-employment and on the job training for participants as well as customising and delivering training for employers to support their business goals and create inclusive workplaces

What we need from you;
Ability to build professional relationships with employers and participants
Demonstrated experience and skills in effective conflict resolution and negotiation
Effective oral and written communication skills
Confidence in a high volume, fast paced environment
Highly organised with strong administration skills
Resilient & empathetic towards others
Although previous experience in Employment Servicesis an advantage, it is not essential. Some of the diverse backgrounds that people have joined us from include community and emergency services, banking, sales, retail and customer service just to name a few. Individuals have found rewarding and fulfilling careers with our organisation, contributing their unique experiences and skills.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and Working with Children Check.
