About The Location

The Narngulu Mineral Separation Plant (MSP) based in Geraldton is one of the largest mineral processing facilities globally and the mineral processing hub for Iluka's Australian operations. It is capable of accepting heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) feed stocks from various production sources, currently treating heavy mineral concentrate from the company's Jacinth-Ambrosia mine in South Australia and Cataby mine site in Western Australia.
 

About The Role
We have an opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Narngulu Laboratory Exploration team. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about learning and displays strong initiative and problem-solving skills. This is a residential position, working a Monday to Friday, standard 40-hour week. Relocation assistance is not available.

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the responsibilities of this role include:

• Conducting quality control and testing of material

• Sorting and registering of samples

• Utilisation of equipment relevant to mineral sands analysis

• Strong focus on accuracy and safety

To be successful for this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated proactive approach to safety and environment

• High level of attention to detail

• Good numeracy and literacy skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work as part of a team, and be self-managing

• Unrestricted WA Drivers Licence
