Are you passionate about working outdoors and making a visible impact in your community? The City of Stirling is seeking a dedicated Tree Maintenance Operator to join our Parks and Environment Business Unit. This team plays a vital role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and sustainability of our public spaces.

About the Role

As a Tree Maintenance Operator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Operating a water truck and performing general labouring duties
  • Planting, watering, staking, and tying street and park trees
  • Applying mulch and performing formative pruning
  • Maintaining public spaces and equipment to a high standard
  • Participating in toolbox meetings and promoting workplace safety

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • A current MR Class Driver's Licence
  • A Certificate in Basic Traffic Management
  • A White Card (Safety Awareness Training)
  • Substantial truck driving experience
  • A strong understanding of safe work practices
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using mobile devices to record work (desirable)
  • A Certificate in Horticulture/Arboriculture or relevant experience (desirable)
  • A valid National Police Clearance (under 3 months)
