Business Analyst

We are currently seeking applications for a Business Analyst to join Financial Services at The Department of Treasury & Finance for a period of up to 11 months.

Remuneration: ASO5 – Salary Range ($85,790 – $95,413p.a.)

About the opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to deliver strategic change and improve efficiency and quality of services provided within Financial Services. This is a key role working with a variety of stakeholders in Shared Services SA to evaluate the impacts and implement change and improvement initiatives within the business. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have an analytical background, coupled with the ability to evaluate processes and make recommendations, this opportunity is perfect for you.

About you

To be successful you will have:

• Ability to analyse and document complex business processes.
• Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver.
• Demonstrated experience developing business requirements documents, engaging stakeholders and users, identifying solutions and implementing changes.
• Experience working in a continuous improvement or business case evaluation role in a large complex organisation.
• Knowledge of Lean principles gained through appropriate Operations Management and Lean training, or similar are highly desirable.
• Ability to assist in the culture change of teams to take process ownership and to drive their own continuous improvement.
• Experience in the collection, presentation, and analysis of information.
• Superior skills in Excel.
• Ability to identify operational issues, think laterally and apply analytical, qualitative and research skills to develop appropriate approaches for resolution.
• Proven ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and to establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships.
• Ability to prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines, remain focussed on key objectives and manage competing activities and tasks in a demanding work environment.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of the relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including Code of Ethics, EEO and cultural inclusion.
• An understanding of the legislative requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.
• An understanding of and ability to work/ manage to the spirit and principles of AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk management – Guidelines.
