Our client is a high‑growth motor claims specialist supporting a panel of insurers. In just five years, they've grown from start‑up to nearly 70 people, built on smart systems, trust in trade expertise and a people‑first culture. They're now hiring on‑road Motor Assessors to assess all kinds of vehicles and damage across Melbourne. This role includes genuine home/road flexibility and clear goals where you have the autonomy to make decisions with strong processes to support you.

What you'll do

  • Conduct accurate motor damage assessments across the Melbourne Metro area (2-3 on‑road days/week)
  • Validate repair methods, labour hours and parts; challenge variances where needed
  • Collaborate with repairers and internal claims teams to keep cycle times tight and customers informed
  • Prepare clear assessment notes/reports to support fair, timely outcomes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across quality, safety and customer experience

What you'll bring

  • Insurance side Motor assessing experience Required
  • Cert IV in Motor Assessing, Panel Beating or Spray Painting Required
  • Experience across passenger, motorcycle, heavy or prestige vehicles
  • A practical understanding of modern repair techniques, repair vs. replace trade‑offs, and cost control
  • Confidence using digital assessing platforms and tech tools
  • Strong understanding of insurance and fleet industry workflows
  • Well-connected, with strong industry relationships that drive results
  • A growth mindset, adaptable, curious, and committed to learning
  • Comfortable working independently on the road and from home as needed
