About the Role:

Happy Days Support Service is a boutique, person-centred NDIS provider dedicated to empowering participants through personalised support, specialised housing, and community connection. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Disability Support Worker to join our dedicated support team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of NDIS participants while contributing to the ongoing growth and success of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer personalised support in daily living tasks and assisting with personal care.
  • Assist participants in accessing and engage with community activities and events.
  • Document progress and report any concerns or updates.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Happy Days policies, and relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Create a positive, engaging, and empowering environment where participants can thrive and live purposeful lives.
  • Follow structured routines and scheduled supports already in place for each participant.
  • Administration of medication
  • Flexible availability
  • Be able to work within a team
  • Shifts available: Day program, Respites and sleepovers with in our two SIL houses
  • Willingness to learn and upskill knowledge with internal organisation training service and support

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with working alongside people who has uses a behaviour support plan.
  • Ability to assist with personal care, daily living tasks, and community participation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Experience working with Medication administration and management or willing to learn

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Infection Control (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (if required for the role)
  • Completed or willingness to complete NDIS Worker Orientation Module

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in the NDIS sector or disability support industry
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability
