The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Secondary English & Humanities Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team. In this role, you'll foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning in students, while delivering high-quality programs that align with the Queensland and Australian Curricula.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students, contribute to the wider life of the school, and work in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and deliver engaging English and Humanities programs (Years 7–12)
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Use data and assessment to enhance student progress and achievement
  • Provide constructive, timely feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enrich teaching practice and curriculum design
  • Participate in the School's co-curricular and pastoral care programs
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning and development

What You'll Bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education
  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Qld College of Teachers
  • Experience teaching English and/or Humanities at a secondary level
  • Deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum (Years 7–10) and QCAA syllabuses (Years 11–12)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of ICT to support learning
  • A commitment to collaboration, innovation, and student-centred teaching
