The Opportunity:

Southern Cross Pacific is seeking Permanent Part Time Experienced Static Security Officers in "Melbourne" and surrounding areas with a current VIC security license. As a professional Security Officer, your expertise in client and customer relationships and asset protection will be well utilized in this role.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Good Physical Presence
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain resilience within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Flexibility in work hours and availability
  • Report writing using electronic systems if required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers & patrons, primarily in our Retails Operations
  • Monitoring stores to prevent loss/theft
  • Monitoring of High-Risk Areas with a Proactive approach
  • Provide First Aid to Staff and customers when and if required

In addition to excellent working conditions, you'll receive a uniform and appropriate customized training.

It is essential that applicants have:

  • Current Security License VIC
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Able to work rotational rosters including night shifts
  • The ability to undertake client specific clearances if applicable
  • Full working rights
  • Previous experience working in a retail environment in a security officer's capacity
  • An understanding of WH&S and the ability to identify & manage risks
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work a rotating roster day, nights, weekends, and Public Holidays
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be able to communicate with multiple stakeholders across various backgrounds
