The Drummond Golf group of companies, including Drummond Golf, Australia's Biggest Golf Retailer, and Big Swing Golf, indoor golf entertainment venues are in an exciting expansion phase. Part of this growth is modernisation of the store internals. To help support this exciting phase we are seeking a Project Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of new store fit outs, store relocations and existing store refits.

Key objective:

The key objective of this role will be to manage the day to day operations of a project to ensure it is completed on time, to specification and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Creating detailed project timelines, managing project timelines and managing internal and external project teams including Franchisors, Franchisees, suppliers and contractors.
  • Budget Management: Monitoring project expenditures against the allocated budget and identifying potential cost issues. Reviewing and refining external suppliers and pricing to provide the best outcome for internal stakeholders (franchisees and the Franchisor).
  • Key Stakeholder Management: Engage, drive and improve relationships with key individuals, groups and internal and external parties who are critical to delivering all projects in full and on time.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating communication between team members, stakeholders and clients through regular meetings, updates and reports.
  • Task Tracking: Monitoring progress on individual tasks, identifying roadblocks and taking corrective actions to maintain project schedule.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Preparing project documentation, status reports and presentations for stakeholders and management.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies and proactively addressing issues.
  • Administrative Support: Managing project files, coordinating logistics for meetings and handling administrative tasks.
  • Retail Store Design: An exciting component of this position includes the development of the store's "look and fee". Optimising space based on category performance and working closely with the merchandising team to maintain and further develop the current "look and feel".

Key Attributes:

  • Project Management Skills: Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey project updates and information .
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on accuracy and consistency in project documentation. Good documentation will be important.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving project challenges proactively.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships. Externally you will be dealing with Landlords, Developers, Builders, Trades and Suppliers. Internally you will be dealing with the Head Office team, Franchisees, and designated shopfitters.

Required: Certificate IV course or diploma in Project Management and a minimum of 3 years previous work experience.

Advantageous:Experience using and training others on project management software. A good understanding of building codes and compliances in each state.

Other considerations: The job requires regular interstate travel (nationally) with extended periods onsite (up to 5 days).
