What work will you do?

  • Act as a subject matter expert on compliance, advising on regulatory obligations and internal policy requirements;
  • Oversee and maintain the compliance obligations register and frameworks, ensuring accuracy and best practice;
  • Partner with business units to provide assurance, monitoring and reporting on compliance performance;
  • Support investigations into incidents or breaches and advise on remediation actions;
  • Assist with regulatory engagement and horizon scanning to identify and manage emerging risks;
  • Deliver enterprise-wide compliance training and contribute to building a strong compliance culture.

What type of person will be successful?

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, commerce, finance or a related field;
  • 5–7 years' experience in compliance, risk or assurance, ideally from healthcare, insurance, or financial services;
  • Strong technical understanding of privacy, technology, people or regulatory risk areas;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels;
  • A proactive, analytical and collaborative approach with a genuine interest in improving systems that protect the public.
