Hotel Handyman Supervisor

Panache Hotel Group (PHG) is a dynamic and rapidly expanding hotel management company specializing in short-term accommodations, hotels, and independent serviced apartments. With headquarters in Western Australia, PHG currently operates five distinguished hotels in Perth and Melbourne, with exciting expansion into Sydney.

We are now seeking an experienced Full-Time Handyman Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations at our Chatswood property.

The Handyman Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and carrying out general maintenance, repairs, preventative works, contractor supervision, and ensuring the property operates safely and efficiently.

This is a full-time onsite role, and the successful candidate must be available to work weekends and public holidays when operationally required.

• Oversee daily maintenance and repair tasks across the property
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and scheduled servicing
• Manage small-scale repairs: electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, appliances
• Allocate tasks to contractors and supervise external trades
• Urgently respond to guest room and building maintenance requests
• Maintain maintenance logs, registers and safety documentation
• Report major issues to Operations/Hotel Manager with clear recommendations
• Ensure WHS compliance and maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in budgeting and managing tools, supplies and equipment inventory

• Proven experience in general maintenance/handyman roles (hotel or facilities preferred)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve common building issues
• Carpentry, electrical, plumbing or trade background highly regarded
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and supervise contractors
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and after-hours call-outs when needed
• Understanding of WHS standards and safe work practices
