St Louis Care is made up of four specialist service areas:

  • St Louis Homes - NDIS-approved provider for
    younger onset dementia
  • St Louis Home Care - Government-approved and
    private Support at home care provider
  • St Louis Nursing Home - Boutique residential
    aged care
  • St Louis Allied Health - Covering both Metro
    and Fly in Fly Out (FIFO) allied health services supporting South
    Australian communities

Role: Registered Nurse

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership and
oversight, supporting residents to achieve their individual goals
while ensuring care delivery aligns with the Strengthened Aged Care
Quality Standards, the Residents' Statement of Rights, and the
Staff Code of Conduct. You will work closely with the Nursing Home
Manager, Registered Nurses, and Allied Health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Goal Setting & Care Planning

    Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to develop and
    review care plans that reflect individual goals and changing health
    needs.
  • Clinical Governance & Compliance

    Ensure practices meet legislative and regulatory requirements,
    including wound management, infection control, antimicrobial
    stewardship, and medication care planning.
  • Staff Supervision & Support

    Provide mentoring and clinical guidance to nursing and care staff,
    fostering professionalism and compassionate care.
  • Quality Improvement & Risk Management

    Lead audits, incident reporting, and quality initiatives to enhance
    care outcomes and safety.
  • Clinical Data Monitoring & Reporting

    Support quarterly reporting for the Quality Indicator Program and
    maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Staff Training & Competency Monitoring

    Facilitate ongoing education and ensure staff uphold best practice
    standards.

Essentials:

  • National Police Clearance (no older than 2 years)
  • Up to date Influenza vaccination
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in aged care nursing

To be successful in this role:

  • Strong clinical knowledge of the ageing process
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • High-level analytical and report writing abilities
  • Commitment to person-centred care and cultural sensitivity
  • Proficiency in computer skill and electronic client management
    systems
  • Understanding of Consumer Directed Care (CDC), EEO, WHS, and
    inclusive workplace practices.
  • Experience in the accreditation process and the quality
    standards that apply to aged care
  • Understand the Quality indicator program and have had
    experience in quarterly report in the government portal (GMPS)
  • Understanding and of the AN-ACC Funding model, and able to
    identify when resident require a reassessment to optimise
    funding.
