Position Description:

Department is seeking an experienced
Dynamics CRM Marketing Functional Consultant
to join their Digital Products and Platforms Branch.

The Consultant will be responsible for leading the expansion and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics products—Customer Insights – Journeys and Data—by configuring and optimising existing features and enabling features not yet implemented.

This role involves close collaboration with internal teams including architects, solution developers, testers, business analysts and marketing personnel to identify opportunities, plan enhancements, and activate additional capabilities within the existing Dynamics 365 environment.

Key duties and responsibilities:

The Consultant must have knowledge and experience configuring and using Microsoft Customer Insights - Journeys and Data, specifically across both Real-time journeys and Event planning modules. You will have experience with the following in each module:

  • Real-time journeys – Segment and journey configuration and optimisation, advising on solutions to improve content personalisation, creating journey templates to support users with managing campaigns, emails, newsletters and implementing a solution to support a marketing attribution model.
  • Event planning – Optimising event management for users including building and enhancing event registration form templates and processes, optimising event submissions and data capture.

The Consultant will work across multi-disciplinary teams that use agile principles and practices and provide technical leadership to build our inhouse technical capability to support maintaining the Customer Insights products.

The Consultant will be responsible for facilitating and planning activities to optimise and expand the use of Dynamics 365 Marketing capabilities, with minimal disruption to existing operations. They will identify dependencies and assess potential impacts, using their expertise to proactively streamline marketing processes.

The Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Leading the expansion of Real-time journeys and Event planning modules including optimising the configuration, implementing new features, producing related documentation of solutions and enhancements.
  • Advising on configuration of security roles, permissions, and customer engagement settings (inc. customer insights connector).
  • Collaborating with internal teams and supporting the development of nurture activities such as customer journey processes, trigger-based marketing, campaigns and content personalization.
  • Provide advice and assist on implementing: brand and compliance profiles, preference and compliance centre and consent management.
  • Event planning module optimisation, including configuration of Power Pages event portal, development of marketing and event forms and form templates.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical guidance to upskill internal teams throughout the optimization.
