CMI Electrical Products are specialists in the manufacture and distribution of electrical cables and associated components for industrial, mining, infrastructure, commercial, petrochemical and information technology applications throughout South East Asia and Oceania. CMI is a fully owned subsidiary of the IPD Group.

We seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Store Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible in receiving and dispatching goods into and out of the stores in a manner that prevents damage to goods and to maintain the stores in a healthy and functional manner.

Reporting to the Factory Manager, this role will be based in our Noble Park office.

About the role:

  • Receiving and dispatching stock, unrolling, rerolling, measuring, cutting cable to order, relabeling drums, accepting materials after inspection, and releasing conforming products for use or resale.
  • Storing products safely and tidily, keeping aisles and exits clear, maintaining tools and equipment, and conducting routine equipment maintenance to ensure operational safety.
  • Supporting team objectives, maintaining good working relationships with staff, and acting cooperatively to promote a productive, team-oriented environment.
  • Identifying and reporting suspect or non-conforming products, initiating action to prevent product issues, and informing supervisors of potential quality, safety, or environmental risks.
  • Maintaining accurate work records, performing receipt inspections, and complying with company guidelines, policies, and QHSE procedures.

About you:

  • Current Forklift driver's qualification.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, to work within guidelines and procedures and to provide a quality customer service.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workflow to achieve outcomes within identified timeframes.
  • Ability to maintain accurate work records.
  • Ability to follow quality assurance and workplace health and safety practices as applied in the working environment
