Due to a forthcoming departure, we are currently seeking a National RTO & Compliance Lead to manage and maintain the training facility and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) aspects across the Otraco Australia business.
The Role
As National RTO and Compliance Lead, you will provide National leadership across the business from an RTO perspective, responsible for training at our facilities as well as remote training and assessment. You will be responsible for:
- Lead and coach the Training team and ensure an active approach to minimising compliance risk
- Coordinate and maintain training resources and schedules
- Champion all applicable training-related laws, regulations, and statutory obligations
- Maintain compliance against established standards, contractual requirements and RTO policies and procedures
- Coordinate the sourcing and delivery of external training to Client stakeholders
- Continuous design, review, and development of all training courses
- Provide advice, guidance and updates to staff regarding RTO standards
- Review and promote continuous improvement of the RTO systems and delivery
- Coordinate internal and external audits, qualification updates, extensions of scope and funding applications
- Coordinate regular internal audits for compliance against established standards, contractual requirements and RTO policies and procedures
- Evaluate outcomes and feedback of the training courses
- Consult with industry to ensure the continued relevance of training courses
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to individual learners needs and organisational goals
About You
The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of RTO compliance with preferable experience in a mining/resources related environment. You will be able to demonstrate:
- Sound Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Skills Quality Authority ASQA reporting requirements & AVETMISS
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the training packaging requirements
- A demonstrated understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement principles
- Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Acumen in business development and growth of an RTO
- Excellent computer skills, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Learning Management Systems
- Experience in Mining and/or Automotive Industry (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- A qualification in Quality Auditing (desirable)
