I-MED is pleased to be offering an exciting new full time, permanent opportunity (part time will be considered) for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist. We are looking for an additional staff member required due to growth in demand.

Reporting to the Area Nuclear Coordinator, you will be based in the Southern Melbourne Region (predominately at the NM / PET department at Casey / Berwick with occasional shifts at our current NM / PET in Frankston, and at out new NM / PET centre coming soon.  This role is Monday to Friday, working 7.6-hour shifts between 7am to 5pm, no on call.    

You will be responsible for performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine and PET including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard. 

As a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will manage patients and operate specialised imaging equipment in accordance with professional standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and energetic person who is willing to learn in a busy private practice and hospital settings.

Key accountabilities include: 

  • Performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radio-pharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard
  • Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
  • Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards 

     

Key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform high quality Nuclear Medicine examinations independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff
  • Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine
  • Applicants must be AHPRA Registered
  • Diagnostic CT accreditation would be an advantage but not required.
