About the role:

We are seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team on a full time basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Sterilising and decontaminating medical instruments and equipment using advanced technologies, ensuring they are safe for reuse.
  • Inspecting, assembling, and packaging surgical instruments and trays, preparing them for surgical procedures.
  • Performing leak tests, quality checks and cleaning of flexible scopes in the sterilising services department.
  • Maintaining sterilisation equipment and monitoring performance to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with standards.
  • CSSD stock area management and stock control.
  • Adhering to infection control standards, which is essential for patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborating with multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate service delivery, facilitating smooth operations across the hospital.
  • Other duties requested by management

About you:

  • Experience in a fast paced CSSD hospital environment
  • Cert 3 or Cert 4 in sterilisation Services
  • Sound knowledge of sterilisation procedures, practices and standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation and experience with tracking systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in ophthalmic, endoscopy & gastroscopy, oral & maxillofacial procedures highly desirable
