Our head office is based in Braeside, VIC, with this position offering full support, training, and regular collaboration with our team of onsite engineers.

The Opportunity

Due to continued business success and a growing portfolio of key accounts, we are seeking a Sales Engineer with a technical background to join our team. This is a dynamic and varied role involving direct customer engagement, solution development, and strategic account management across multiple industry sectors including mining, quarrying, shipping, and grain.

You'll be responsible for managing existing relationships and developing new business, while also providing on-site technical solutions at a concept, design, and operational level.

Regular travel within Victoria is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with engineers, site supervisors, and procurement managers
  • Deliver technical advice and troubleshoot issues related to conveyor
  • Support end-user customers across bulk materials handling industries
  • Generate quotes, cost estimates, and process sales inquiries
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events as a company representative
  • Provide occasional administrative support in line with sales functions

Your Background

This role suits a confident and mechanically minded sales professional, engineer, or experienced trade specialist.

You may have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a trade qualification with at least 5 years' relevant experience
  • Proven success in technical sales, preferably in engineering, mining, or bulk materials handling industries
  • Experience communicating with engineers and working with complex mechanical systems
  • A self-motivated, strategic mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A willingness to travel within Victoria and close proximity to our Braeside head office
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to OH&S standards
  • Experience or contacts within the industry – quarry sites etc. (highly advantageous)
