  • In-depth knowledge of Warehouse process & systems
  • In-depth understanding of logistics issues as they relate to movement of plant & equipment
  • In-depth understanding of financial administration inclusive of budgetary responsibility
  • Significant knowledge of project management practices - Gantt charts, JIT concepts etc.
  • Significant Oil/Gas industry knowledge
  • Significant operations knowledge
  • HSE knowledge including legislated responsibilities & competence with a focus on incident & injury management.
  • Business/management systems knowledge e.g. asset booking system, time & attendance or similar & transferrable
  • Employee/Industrial Relations knowledge
  • Conflict management/resolution techniques

Experience:

  • Significant people management experience
  • Contract service provider experience; ideally in industrial services
  • Strong coordination background
  • Relationship and conflict management experience
  • Evidence of organic growth of a commercial area of responsibility
  • Evidence of consistently delivering projects within budget on time using proactive actions early to address projected shortfalls
  • Strong background in similar industry or role with transferable skills
  • Understanding of Contract Resources core services
  • Experience with Equipment and Operations ideally in an Industrial Services or related environment
  • Evidence of contract negotiations and tendering
  • Employee/Industrial Relations experience and/or knowledge

Key activities:

  • Ensure maximum equipment utilisation whilst maintaining equipment as per the company protocols
  • Develop and submit competitive quotes and proposals within agreed target project margins
  • Ensure training and development plans are in place for employees in the area/assigned to the client sites and that they are implemented
  • Prepare and submit invoices in a timely manner in line with company protocols and client contracts
  • Ensure operational excellence in all aspects of the role (from sales through to invoice)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Deliver a strong sales and business development focus to grow CR services in area of responsibility
  • Maximize margins and manage project cash flow
  • Ensure compliance to client contract terms and conditions
  • Assist in the development of regional strategic plans and budgets across all disciplines.
  • Develop sales strategies and plans with teams.
  • Ensure that strategic planning processes identify organic growth opportunities across existing businesses.
