Job Summary
The Director, Credit Administration, will oversee the management of a portfolio of commercial real estate (CRE) loans, leading the Credit Administration team to ensure efficient and accurate execution of all operational processes. This senior role is responsible for ensuring the team delivers effective setup and ongoing maintenance of new transactions, timely production of rate fixes, drawdown and interest notices, and accurate management of transaction waterfalls and payment processing. The Director will coordinate closely with lenders, borrowers, legal counsel, hedge counterparties, and internal stakeholders to support complex loan events such as redemptions, restructurings, amendments, and waivers. The successful candidate will manage the Credit Administration team and demonstrate a independence, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Key focus is on client delivery, leading the management of a diverse portfolio of CRE loans, ensuring all operational and servicing activities meet Trimont's standards and client expectations.
- Coordinating all aspects of the financial close process for commercial loan transactions by managing timelines, and compliance requirements, while serving as the main point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders. This role ensures clear communication, alignment of expectations, and timely resolution of issues to achieve successful transaction closings, while also providing regular progress updates and proactively addressing potential risks or bottlenecks.
- Support the Senior Managing Director in documents negotiation with the Chief Legal Officer and contribute to internal projects as required.
Ensuring the junior team members in the Credit Administration, APAC team perform the deliver on the following:
Set up of deals/transactions, ensuring all information is accurately entered and maintained in internal systems throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Processing loan payment allocations promptly using internal systems such as Cashmate.
- Timely and accurate production and issuance of rate fixes, drawdown, and interest notices for all scheduled and ad-hoc loan events.
- Managing transaction waterfalls, interest payment dates, and ad-hoc payment requests with strict adherence to internal controls and four-eyed checks.
- Preparing and reviewing audit confirmations, coordinating with service providers and internal teams.
Complying with security protocols, including call-back procedures.
Drive the completion of all tasks to a high standard of accuracy and compliance, ensuring that team deadlines are met consistently.
- Provide daily guidance and support to junior team members within the Credit Administration team, including onboarding, training, performance management and fostering collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Assist the team in resolving day-to-day operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Represent Trimont in client and potential clients meetings when necessary.
- Demonstrate strong independent judgment and decision-making capabilities and effectively prioritize multiple workflows in a high-pressure environment.
- Foster a culture of exceptional client service, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving within the team and across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in loan operations or a related commercial real estate finance discipline
- Experience leading a team to deliver deadline driven deliverables accurately
