Iron Mine Contracting (IMC) is a dynamic and fast-growing Western Australian civil and mining contractor, providing end-to-end open-pit mining solutions to the Australian resources sector. Since 2013, IMC—together with its Indigenous Joint Venture partners—has successfully delivered projects for Tier 1 resource clients across Western Australia.

Our expertise spans the full scope of mining and civil services, including drill & blast, load & haul, ROM management, crushing & screening, TSF construction, and bulk and detailed earthworks. Operating in some of the most remote environments, our teams apply a practical mindset, deep technical expertise, and a multidisciplinary approach to consistently overcome project challenges.

About our role:

IMC is excited to announce several newly created Heavy Duty Fitter and Driller Fitter positions to support upcoming projects and our continued growth. These permanent, full-time roles are offered on a 2:1 FIFO roster ex-Perth, with both day and night shifts.

Your focus in this role: 

  • Maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and fault finding on CAT, Hitachi, and Komatsu mobile equipment
  • Major repairs and component rebuilds on large wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, and trucks

What You'll Bring: 

  • Australian Trade Qualification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent
  • Previous experience with CAT, Hitachi, and Komatsu earthmoving equipment
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working on CAT earthmoving and mining equipment
  • Valid Manual C Class Licence (HR Preferred)
  • Air Conditioning ticket and High Risk Licence (highly advantageous)
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely
  • Ability to complete pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
  • National Police Clearance
