We are currently seeking a casual Transcriber to join our Melbourne team, working Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm. This is a hybrid role with some days at home and some days in-office.

The Role

Transcribers are responsible for the accurate and timely production of transcript in various styles and formats, utilizing a variety of audio types and production and research tools. Transcripts must be produced in accordance with contractual and client-driven deadlines with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Some transcription material may include distressing or sensitive content

About you:

You probably love to read. You have a commendable vocabulary and wouldn't mind embellishing it with some niche legal terminology. You type with ease, and with excellent spelling and grammar.

What we are looking for:

• Availability Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm, with flexibility to work earlier or later if required.
• Ability to work from home and in office when needed
• Typing speed of 70 wpm +
• Excellent English vocabulary and grammar
• Excellent reading comprehension
• Ability to use computers, and proficiency in MS Word
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Willingness to obtain an NV2 security clearance - this will be paid for by Epiq
• Prior experience in audio transcription is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Administration or legal experience desirable
