To amplify their story and elevate their brand presence, our client is seeking an experienced and strategic 
Public Relations Manager
. This role is an opportunity to become the voice behind one of Australia's most ambitious property portfolios — engaging media, stakeholders, and the public with compelling narratives and purposeful communication.

. From shaping the narrative around landmark projects to securing high-impact media coverage and managing high-stakes communications, this is a role that combines creativity, influence, and strategic execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Brand Positioning

  • Develop and lead the annual PR and communications strategy in line with broader business goals and marketing campaigns.
  • Position our client as a trusted, innovative leader in the property sector through thought leadership, media features, speaking opportunities, and strategic storytelling.
  • Partner with senior executives and project teams to align PR activity with key milestones and strategic priorities.

Media Relations & Press Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media across property, lifestyle, business, and urban affairs.
  • Proactively secure media coverage across print, digital, TV, and radio platforms.
  • Manage inbound media requests and coordinate timely, accurate responses.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Write and edit high-quality press releases, feature articles, opinion pieces, speeches, and corporate communications.
  • Oversee the development of media kits, investor communications, and other PR collateral.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with brand voice, values, and reputation.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Plan and manage PR events including property launches, media briefings, stakeholder engagement forums, and community activations.
  • Work with project teams to align public engagement activities with development timelines.
  • Represent the company at external events, conferences, and media appearances as needed.

Crisis & Issues Management

  • Lead communication responses during sensitive or high-risk scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain crisis communications protocols, media holding statements, and internal messaging frameworks.

Monitoring, Reporting & Insights

  • Track media coverage and campaign effectiveness using analytics tools.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership outlining media performance, sentiment trends, and strategic recommendations.

Stakeholder Communications

  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including councils, investors, community groups, and industry partners.
  • Support internal communications to ensure employees are aligned with external messaging and brand initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7+ years' experience
     in public relations or communications, ideally in property development, real estate, architecture, or corporate sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in 
    Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
    .
  • Proven ability to plan and execute successful PR campaigns and generate strong media coverage.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Established media network across Australian property, business, and lifestyle outlets.
  • Experience managing complex events and navigating crisis communications.
  • Proficiency in PR tools (e.g. Meltwater, Cision) and social media platforms.
  • A proactive, creative mindset with strong attention to detail and a passion for storytelling.
