About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (Business Services & Tax) to join our growing firm. This role suits someone who enjoys working closely with clients, managing end-to-end compliance, and providing tailored advisory insights to help businesses grow.

You'll report directly to the Director and work alongside a collaborative team who value accuracy, initiative, and proactive client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and BAS across a range of entities (companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs, individuals)
  • Provide business advisory and tax planning support to SME clients
  • Review and mentor junior staff work and offshores as required
  • Assist with SMSF compliance and strategic structuring
  • Liaise directly with clients, the ATO, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvement and practice efficiency

About You

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or related field
  • CA/CPA qualified (or nearing completion)
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in public practice (business services/tax)
  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
  • Experienced with Xero, CCH iFirm, ATO Portal, and BGL
