Position: Consultant Gynaecologist/Fertility Specialist - Reproductive Biology Unit

Location: Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg

Mercy Hospital for Women (MHW) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Fertility Specialist to join our Reproductive Biology Unit. This rare opportunity will allow you to be a pivotal part of the expansion of the Unit.

**ABOUT THE ROLE:

Summary of the role:
- Part-Time, Fixed Term (six months) role with possibility for ongoing position
- To support the provision of high-quality fertility care to patients attending the Mercy Hospital for Women.
- Responsible for the assessment and management of individuals and couples attending with fertility concerns.
- The position involves both attending outpatient clinics and performing operative cases.
- ABOUT YOU:
- AHPRA Registration as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
- FRANZCOG
- CREI or equivalent
- We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual with extensive experience working in the area of reproductive medicine and infertility. The individual should have experience in the laparoscopic treatment of gynaecological pathology that relates to infertility as well as in the assessment and treatment of conditions leading to infertility.
- A passion for excellence in patient care and communication, a zest for teaching junior doctors and medical students and a willingness to teach gynaecological surgery, as it relates to infertility to junior doctors, are all essential.

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
