FEC designs, fabricates and installs communication structures and power lines throughout Australia and overseas. We are a quality accredited company and have an enviable reputation in the industry. We have a broad range of customers including mining, utilities and service providers. As a turnkey supplier you will be exposed to all aspects of the work from the design and fabrication, through to the installation and commissioning.

Due to our increasing client base and workload we require personnel to fill the following fulltime permanent position.

GRADUATE STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

As a Graduate Structural Design Engineer you will be responsible for the civil and structural design of telecommunications and powerline infrastructure projects including lattice towers, monopoles and guyed masts.

Working in a fast paced environment, for a true industry leading turnkey contractor, you will be responsible for the design of new structures, design of mounting steelwork, analysing and strengthening of existing structures, quoting and project management of smaller scale projects. You will quickly develop your skills and knowledge, with daily exposure to fabrication, construction, installation and procurement processes, with an opportunity to experience and develop your skills by being involved in all phases of a project life cycle.

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil and Structural Engineering,

  • Strong structural design skills in steel and concrete,

  • Working knowledge of Australian Standards,

  • Good communication skills – both verbal and written,

  • Knowledge and capability in Microsoft Office suite and Space Gass,

  • Self-motivated, proactive, driven and passion for problem solving,

  • Strong organisation and time management skills,

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team,

  • Australian residency.
