AKJ Services is a civil construction company founded and owned in Darwin. Our company has expanded significantly we are seeking an experienced and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating on various local construction projects including civil and subdivision works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate excavator and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
  • Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Assist with other construction tasks as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Valid driver's license and relevant nationally recognised operating ticket.
  • Construction White card.
  • Current DCAC Card holder (or ability to obtain – includes police check)
  • Proven experience as an excavator operator in civil and subdivision work.
  • Experience with GPS and final trim desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use smart phone/app technology.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
