The Role

We are working with a leading Australian law firm to source a lawyer with strong disputes experience to join their Sydney-based Disputes & Investigations practice. This role offers exposure to high-stakes commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, class actions, and public inquiries, often involving complex multi-party proceedings and strategic legal issues.

The Team

The Disputes and Investigations team specialises in helping clients navigate significant commercial and corporate disputes with a strategic and commercial lens. The practice focuses on risk identification and management, providing clients with effective prevention and resolution strategies through litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution mechanisms.

The team regularly advises on matters involving corporate misconduct, regulatory enforcement, shareholder class actions, and commissions of inquiry.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 4–8 years
    ' post-admission experience in commercial litigation
  • Experience working on complex, large-scale disputes or regulatory matters
  • Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a genuine interest in strategic dispute work
