We are seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of our complex yet exciting organisation.

As part of a small but highly capable team, you'll oversee all core finance functions, including Accounts Payable and Receivable, Compliance, Treasury, Intercompany and Related Party transactions, FP&A, and coordination with our external Auditor.

With a clear mandate to drive greater efficiency and process improvement, we're looking for someone with a proactive, "can-do" attitude and a strong interest in continuous process improvement and systems enhancement.

As the CFO's key financial partner, you'll be hands-on in the details — from journals to banking tasks — while also playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our finance function. Your exceptional technical expertise and problem-solving skills will ensure accuracy, compliance, and insight as we continue to grow and transform the business.

About the role:

Financial & Management Accounting

  • Own the
    weekly cashflow forecast and banking
    , including FX exposure.
  • Prepare and monitor
    bank covenant reporting
    .
  • Lead the
    annual budget cycle
    , driving collaboration across the business.
  • Run a seamless
    month-end process
    — all journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Deliver clear
    variance analysis
    against budget, with sharp commentary on drivers.
  • Produce the
    monthly Board Pack
    with insights that matter.
  • Provide oversight of the
    payroll process
    each month.
  • Keep daily finance operations humming — payroll, invoicing, transactions.
  • Manage and take responsibility for the
    Finance ERP
    .
  • Oversee
    Accounts Receivable
    — approve credit applications, monitor collections.
  • Oversee
    Accounts Payable
    — sign off applications, WET declarations, review and approve pay runs.
  • Maintain the
    Fixed Asset Register
    .

Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure all statutory requirements are met — BAS, income tax, payroll tax.
  • Manage the relationship with external auditors, leading the
    annual audit
    .
  • Prepare annual tax returns with our external accountants.
  • Stay across
    corporate structure formalities
    and annual renewals.
  • Keep all licences, registrations, and renewals up to date.

Business Partnering

  • Support Sales, Operations, Production & Marketing with
    data-driven recommendations
    .
  • Translate numbers into meaningful insights for non-finance professionals.
  • Build trust with stakeholders by making finance
    clear, practical, and actionable
    .

About you:

  • CA or CPA qualified
    .
  • 10+ years in finance roles (GL, treasury, statutory compliance).
  • Audit background not required, but a bonus.
  • People leadership experience (or ambition) — you'll mentor a small team.
  • Comfortable "in the weeds" — you don't shy away from a journal.
  • Naturally curious — someone who asks
    "why do we do it this way?"
    and then drives change.
  • ERP proficiency, and a passion for making systems work harder.
